maths portfolio sample

Description: In maths we are learning to times multiply and divide. In our last work shop we did the box method. I like the box method but it doesn't suite me as a learner, but I might work with it sometimes.

big idea/task:
We are off to production in Week 10 and we need to get to the Regent to do this.
  • We have ordered 6 buses. There are 330 kids at Russell Street School that need to go. How many kids need to go on each bus?

  • If tickets cost $16 and I need to buy 12 for my family, how much does it cost me?

image:

Feedback/feedforward:Good job Katie I like how you wrote about the box method. But next time you should do nothing different to what you have already done. Because you have done exactly what you were asked to do.
Olivia Furness:)

Evaluation: I think I did well with my maths. At first I was wondering what to do but now I under stand a lot and all of the strategy's that I have learned helps me with learning.

Pop Art Portfolio Post

Description:
We have been learning how to make pop art. pop art is a type of art that is colourful and bright colours on all of the pictures!
There are some people who are very famous for there pop art and there names are Andy Warhole, David Hokney and Peter Blake, there are more but these are the ones with very good art! I like pop art because it stands out and is WOW! I have been working on my strokes in how I paint my pop art so it looks all the same. I would love to do pop art again it is very fun!

Image

Big Idea
he picture I chose the music note because I love music and I love to play instruments and sing!
For pop art the colours we have are bright and light because we want to show how colours can make other colours pop out!
For starting to make or pop art we drew a picture that we would do on the big peace of paper in our think books then we made a stencil. on our big peace of paper we ruled four lines and then put the stencil on started to trace around it. After that we started to paint bright and light colours!

Feedback/feedforward:
I think that you did a really good job because of the different colours. But I think you could have made the music note a bit bigger. Serena :)

Evaluation:

I think I did well but Next time I could be more careful with how i'm using my paint brush but apart from that I think I did well!

Production wearable art

Description: This term all of the school has been planning for our awesome production that we will have next month/21 of September. I'm going to be a normal African girl but i'm going to make my own t-shirt out of all ready used fabrics then sew on all the rest of the other fabrics!

This is all of my planning for what i'm going to do for my costume!

This is my mood board!

Iv been working a lot on my garment and this is how it has improved !

I decided to make cheetah bracelets so I had something else to do and I think it looks cool with my garment!

1) The materials that I used to create my garment were:
Fabric, hot glue, fur (not real), foam and this kind of wirey stuff.

2) The most challenging thing about production for me was:
Making the top it was really hard!
3) One way I demonstrated a growth mindset during production was:
I didn't give up on making the top when I go really angry with myself
4) Something I am really proud of about production was:
Knowing that everything is done it makes very proud and happy!
5) Our school vision is to create agency, creativity and excellence. I showed this by:
I think I showed agency and exallance by managing my time i think thats how I got my garment finished!

I hope you like my garment! :)

Reading Portfolio Sample Term 3 Tic Tac Toe

Description: This term we have been doing tic tac toes, we do them when we aren't in a workshop, depending on what goal we are. My goal Right now is summarising. I think I have been doing well at sticking to the main Or key words in the story or artical when I summarise, I could improve on useing key words to wright my summaries cause sometimes I write sentences. I know I am getting better at summerising because after I read something I can easily summerise the story in six or less sentences!

Big Idea:
We had to  pick a tic tac toe and I chose the story wheel. The story wheel is when You have a wheel and you have a story or an article and then fill in all of the wheels with the key words.

Feedback:I think you did a great job on your story wheel, and how you showed that it was based on bean boozle and harry potter.
Feedforward: I think maybe next time you could show more detail in your drawings so then you don't need to do as much writing. Hannah P :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evaluation:
I think that it was quite challenging thinking of things to draw because the article was not that big. I think I did well with the colour I wanted big and colourful and thats what I got! :)
